Discover Culburra

Culburra is a town located in the southern coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated approximately 22 km east of Nowra and 182 km south of Sydney. The town is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Crookhaven River to the north.

Culburra Beach is known for its extensive white sand beach and crystal-clear waters, which are ideal for swimming and surfing. The beach is patrolled throughout the summer months and is a popular spot for fishing and boating. There are also numerous walking tracks around the town, with panoramic views of the coastline.

The town has a small commercial district that includes a supermarket, petrol station, takeaway food outlets and a pharmacy. There are also a number of parks and sports facilities, including the Culburra Beach Sporting Complex, which features a skate park, tennis courts, and basketball courts.

Culburra is surrounded by national parks, including Jervis Bay National Park and the adjacent Booderee National Park. These parks offer opportunities for camping, hiking, birdwatching and exploring pristine wilderness areas.

The climate of Culburra is mild, with warm summers and mild winters. The average temperature in summer (December to February) ranges from 20 to 27°C, while in winter (June to August) it can range from 8 to 17°C. The town receives an average of 1,100 mm of rainfall per year, with the wettest months being March and August.
